Rewards Checking Questions and Answers

Q:  What happens if I don’t meet the requirements for Rewards Checking?

A:  You do not receive all the “rewards”,however, you will still receive the base interest rate of .25% based on the average collected balance on your account for the statement period.

 

Q:  Are my checks still free?

A:  Yes.

 

Q:  If I use my check card at an ATM, will that transaction count toward my twelve required check card transactions?

A:  No.  Only transactions used to purchase goods and services will qualify as a required check card transaction.

 

Q:  May I “carry forward” check card transactions in excess of the twelve required check card transactions?

A:  No.  Requirements must be met during each statement cycle.

 

Q:  Can I have a Rewards Checking account if I don’t have a computer?

A:  Computer access and a valid email address are required in order to have Rewards Checking.  If you do not have your own computer, you must at least have an email address and access to a computer to view your monthly statements online.

 

Q:  What if I need a printed copy of my statement and/or check image?

A:  Statements can be printed or saved from your online access for approximately four months from the statement date.  Images can be accessed and printed individually from your online account transactions for approximately ninety days.  Copies requested from The Bank Customer Service will be provided at $3.00 per statement and $5.00 per statement with check images.

 

Q:  Can the interest rate change on my Rewards Checking account?

A:  Yes.  This is a variable rate account and the rate may change at any time.

 

Q:  If I qualify, when will I receive my “Rewards”?

A:  You will receive your “Rewards” at the end of each statement period.

 

Q:  If I use another bank’s ATM and pay a fee, how will I get a refund?

A:  When you meet the requirements for Rewards Checking during your statement period, a refund will be made to your account at the end of that statement period.

 

Q:  Is there a minimum balance requirement in order to receive my “rewards”?

A:  No.  There is no minimum balance requirement.

 

Q:  Will the transactions from this statement cycle on my old account be allowed as required transactions for my Rewards Checking account for this statement cycle?

A:  No.  You will not be allowed to carry over transactions as required transactions for this account.

 

Q:  Will my statement cycle change?

A:  Yes.  Rewards Checking has a predetermined statement cut off date.

 

Q:  Will I have Overdraft Protection on my Rewards checking account?

A:  Yes.  Overdraft Protection is available upon qualification.

 

Q:  Will I be able to use my existing check card from The Bank with my Rewards Checking account?

A:  Yes, if the card is on the same account number that is converted to Rewards Checking.

 

Q:  How may I convert my checking account with The Bank to a Rewards checking account?

A:  You will need to come into a customer service location to fill out the appropriate paperwork.
